Susan’s Soaps & More has record snowfall!
I know this is totally off topic but I just had to share pictures from our record snowfall here in Scurry, Texas. You folks up north will probably be completely unimpressed, but we received approximately 11″ of snow yesterday which is a sets an all time record for the snowiest day in Scurry’s (in fact in the Dallas Metroplex area) history. Since we live out in the country it really looked like a picture postcard around here.
Yesterday it was snowing when I was up at 6:00 am to take my son to basketball practice and snowing at 1:30 am when I finally actually went to bed. We had several power outages through out the night and so we all slept in the living room around the fireplace until around 1:00 in the morning when the power pretty much stayed on for good. We were the lucky ones I recently found out. We have neighbors who haven’t had power since last evening around 6 pm!
I took some pictures yesterday afternoon and again this morning and just have to share them. It’s truly an amazing sight for this area. You can best see the difference in the snow accumulation from Friday midday to Saturday morning in the side by side photos of the backyard area.

That’s a lot of snow all at once even for us up here in northern Missouri!
Amazing to have 11″ in Dallas! Stay warm!
