NEW: We now sell the Canine Creations Bar cut into approx. 8 pieces bagged together. That way you can use just one piece each time you shampoo your dog. No messy bar left afterwards to deal with. Also works great when you are traveling with it. Just take one piece with you into the campground shower and the rest is safe and dry for the next day. (Now why didn't I think of this before?)
After a number of requests for a dog shampoo I finally decided I better get with the show and make one. So . . . here it is. I use my same dry to normal hair people base shampoo and added lemongrass and lavender essential oils because they are gentle enough for dogs, repel insects and smell nice. (You see in a pinch you could even use this bar yourself. Actually it would probably be perfect for camping - one bar to do it all and help keep those pesky critters off of you. Though, I think I would still bring along the Bug's Away Spray too.)
To use this on your favorite pooch, just wet him down and rub the bar on his coat to make a rich lather. Shampoo as usual and rinse well.
Ingredients: Saponified oils of rice bran, castor, coconut, cocoa butter and shea butter, essential oils of lavender and lemongrass. Net wt. 4 oz.
By the way: I have already heard from several people who keep their dogs inside that it definitely helps keep them smelling nice.
